Post Installation Inspection Basics
Post Installation Inspection provides that proof of proper installation and structural integrity to the owner prior to project close-out or final acceptance. One hundred percent of all reinforced concrete pipe installations shall be checked for joint separations, soil migration through the joint, cracks greater than 0.25 mm (0.01 inches), settlement and alignment. One hundred percent of all flexible pipes (HDPE, PVC, CMP, other) shall be checked for rips, tears, joint separations, soil migration through the joint, deflection, cracks, localized buckling, bulges, settlement and alignment.
